Recomposit 1.9 successfully implies two advanced technologies for photo masking and compositing. The first is bluescreen matting, which is invented for the requirements of real-time matting, necessary in making movie and TV broadcast. Chroma key is a special method for separation of the foreground subject from background by their difference in hue (chroma) channel. It means that a photographer takes a photo with a specified background in constant color, normally, blue or green, but the computer can distinguish where the background is and where the foreground is by itself and then separate them in real time, automatically. The second technology is inside/outside matting that can be applied to most photos. The inside edges of an object mean a selection which is inside the object and close to its real edge. And the outside edges mean a selection which covers all pixels of the object and close to its edge. The area between inside and outside is the edge of the object and the semitransparent part. The program calculates real mask by inside/outside edge specified by the user. So far, Recomposit has been the only software tool in the world, combining two advanced matting methods together.

For your convenience, Recomposit allows you to make batch bluescreen matting. It also supports complex edge and semitransparent features, inverse calculation of foreground color and composition environment based on layer structure.

The latest version of Recomposit features improved quality of inside-outside matting providing much better results. A new function has been added: now saving to PNG/PSD in matting status is possible. Finally, crash bug of selection in inside-outside matting has been fixed and now the program works without any problems.
