Our company started in 2003 by Chen Qi ( the author and founder), focus on photography related image processing and providing related products and solutions. Firstly registered in China from 2003-2013, and move to New Zealand in 2013.
History
- 2003-2010, Stepok Image Lab has its famous product Turbo Photo which is popular in China and still have users use it until now.
- 2005-2011, A new product Recomposit is released in photo masking software market. It is the first product in the world which combines chromakey matting and trimap masking together.
- 2010, Recomposit get very successful sales in Europe.
- 2012-now, Light Developer as a new platform combines Turbo Photo and Recomposit together.
- 2013, Company move to New Zealand.
Technologies
Stepok Image Lab have advantage and over 10 years experience on the following areas,
- Matting and masking
We developed new algorithms on high quality photo masking. Recomposit is based on those algorithms.
- Image enlarging and resample
A new algorithm is introduced in Picture Enlarger, which assume the camera pixel is a subsample average of high resolution, and calculate out the high resolution image based on the assumption.
- Screen video compression
A new method is developed to separate the images from text in the screen shots, and compress it based on contents. We have another website about the products based on this technology.
